New Delhi: A fire broke out in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi late Wednesday night.
At least 26 fire tenders were rushed to the premier hospital after the alert, officials said. The firefighting operation was brought under control by 12.39 am and no casualties were reported, they added.
Fire services officials said the blaze was reported from the Convergence Block around 10.30 pm.
Preliminary investigation revealed that fire was caused by a short circuit in one of the refrigerators. Convergence block, where the fire took place, houses labs and research wings of AIIMS.
