Chennai: Former Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s close aid VK Sasikala’s new audio clip has caused another stir in the political arena of Tamilnadu, especially the AIADMK.
In the audio, Sasikala can be heard telling her supporters in the party that if AIADMK had acted in unity under her leadership, it would have regained power and formed the government in the State again.
During the conversation with party workers, she purportedly said that she wanted a merger between the AIADMK and her nephew TTV Dhinakaran-led Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) before the elections but former Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami and his deputy O Panneerselvam ‘rejected the proposal’.
Sasikala could be heard telling her supporters in the AIADMK that she was not happy with AMMK of Dhinakaran staying split from the parent party.
She expressed her displeasure that the leaders of both the AIADMK and the AMMK had assured her of victory in the Tamilnadu Assembly polls but refused to agree to a merger.
