Chennai: Tamilnadu has emerged as the top State in its overall handling of the second Covid-19 wave.
According to a survey by LocalCircles, on an aggregate basis, 59 per cent of Tamilnadu residents rated the State government’s handling of Covid second wave as effective or higher.
Among the 3,120 respondents, 32 per cent felt the Covid-19 response was ‘very effective,’ 27 per cent found it ‘effective,’ another 27 per cent said it was ‘somewhat effective,’ 11 per cent found it ‘ineffective,’ while 3 per cent did not have an opinion.
None of the respondents rated the Covid-19 response as a ‘total failure.’ Only 39 per cent of Keralites rate the state government’s handling of Covid second wave as effective, reveals the survey conducted by community social media platform LocalCircles.
As many as 22 per cent of citizens rated the performance of the Kerala government’s handling of Covid second wave as ‘very effective, while 17 per cent said ‘effective’, and 33 per cent said ‘somewhat effective’. Meanwhile, 28 per cent of Kerala residents surveyed rated the Kerala government’s handling of the second wave as ‘Ineffective’.
