Chennai: Following the return of AIADMK top leaders O Panneerselvam and Edappadi K Palaniswami from Delhi where they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, speculations are agog in political circles that the party would be in for some surprise big ticket changes.
“Both Palaniswami and Panneerselvam refused to answer questions about Sasikala after their Delhi meetings,” sources pointed out, adding that the next few weeks would be crucial to the party.
Meanwhile, the AIADMK on Wednesday staged a protest demonstraton across Tamilnadu demanding the ruling DMK to fulfill its poll promises.
Former Chief Ministers Palaniswami and Panneerselvam, who are also the joint coordinator and coordinator of AIADMK, led the demonstration at their native Salem and Theni districts respectively.
Former Ministers and senior party leaders led the protest in their respective districts. The protests were held in front of their respective houses carrying placards and shouting slogans denouncing the DMK government for not fulfilling its poll promises like cancellation of NEET exam, reducing the fuel and cooking gas prices and other promises made in its election manifesto.
