Sex racket busted in Coimbatore

Chennai: Coimbatore police have busted a sex racket, which was allegedly being run under the cover of an ayurvedic treatment centre, at Thudiyalur area of the industrial city.

According to sources, seven people, including three brokers, have been arrested. Sources added that the ayurvedic centre was being run by a fake woman journalist from Kerala.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the place and and arrested three middlemen and four women.

It is said that women were brought from several States like Kerala and Andhra Pradesh for the sex trade. The brokers solicited potential customers through online and other modes.
