New Delhi: As the Opposition continued to protest that the Pegasus surveillance issue and farm laws be discussed in both the Houses instead of the listed business for the day, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha today saw adjournments.
As the deadlock between the opposition and the government continued for two weeks, both Houses of parliament saw little business except the government passing bills amid din without any proper discussion.
In the Lok Sabha, The Tribunals Reforms (Rationalisation and Conditions of Service) Bill, 2021 was withdrawn, and The Tribunals Reforms Bill, 2021 introduced, before the House was adjourned, for the second time, till 2 pm.
More than Rs 133 crore in taxpayer money has been lost because of parliament disruptions in the monsoon session, reports said.
