Chennai: Former Minister and AIADMK leader S P Velumani, who termed the DVAC searches at his house and that of his associates in connection as an act of political vendetta, has said he would meet the media soon to explain his side of the story.

Speaking to reporters at Thoothukudi airport, he said, “I will give a detailed press meet in two days after getting permission from the party. My leaders (O Panneerselvam and Edappadi K Palaniswami) have already issued a detailed statement.”

Velumani flew to Tuticorin and offered prayers in a temple on Wednesday. He was accompanied by his son Vikas.

Meanwhile, the police have registered cases against 10 MLAs and three former MLAs of the AIADMK who assembled in front of the residence of Velumani at Sugunapuram in protest against the searches conducted by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption.
