New Delhi: Twitter today unlocked accounts of Rahul Gandhi and those linked to the Congress days after nearly 5,000 handles associated with the party were temporarily blocked for sharing a photograph of the parents of an alleged rape victim.
This came after Rahul submitted a consent letter to Twitter from the parents, authorising him to use the image.
‘Satyameva Jayate’, Congress posted. The party also clarified that it had not deleted its Twitter account.
In response to Twitter’s temporary locking of his account, Rahul Friday accused it of ‘interfering in the national political process’ and said shutting down of his handle amounted to an ‘attack on the country’s democratic structure’.
