New Delhi: Facebook has issued a notice asking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to remove an Instagram post that reveals the identity of the Delhi Cantt rape victim’s family.
In its letter to Rahul Gandhi, Facebook wrote, “A post you uploaded through your Instagram account is unlawful under Section 74 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015; Section 23 of the POCSO Act, 2012; and Section 288A of the Indian Penal Code. In accordance with NCPCR’s notice, you are requested to remove this post expeditiously.”
Meanwhile, BJP president J P Nadda on Tuesday took on Rahul Gandhi for tweeting pictures of the family of the nine-year-old Dalit girl who was allegedly raped and murdered in Delhi and said such issues should not be politicised for the petty political interests.
