Chennai: An attempt to make counterfeit currency using chemicals was busted by Gudiyatham police with the arrest of six persons.
Based on information, Vellore DIG AG Babu and SP L Selvakumar formed a special team which raided a premises in Gudiyattam.
The police team found 40 bundles of black currency papers along with chemicals and some equipment.
Police suspect that it could be a storage house and printing was done elsewhere. A Tangedco lineman on medical leave was among the six held in the case.
