AIADMK plans year long fete to mark golden jubilee

Chennai: The Opposition AIADMK in Tamilnadu has planned year long fete to celebrate the golden jubilee of party’s Founding day from 17 October.

AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam and joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami, who were also the former Chief Ministers, held discussions in this regard at the party office here Monday.

Senior leaders, former ministers, MLAs and party functionaries participated in the meeting which discussed in detail on celebrating the golden jubilee in a grand manner.

On 17 October, the party has planned a grand celebration at the party office in which long time AIADMK cadres will be honoured.

Later, in a joint statement, Panneerselvam and Palaniswami said the celebrations will also be held in neighbouring Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi, and in Andaman.

The said the meeting also decided to celebrate the occasion by following all the Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), issued by the government by wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing norms.
