Chennai: Crescent Hospital in Chennai, built on the land donated by the Nawab of Arcot, was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister K Kamaraj in 1955. The hospital is celebrating its 75th year.
According to a press release, the platinum jubilee celebrations were inaugurated recently by Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali and MP Dr Kalanidhi Veeraswamy was the chief guest.
The celebrations will go on for 75 days till 12 December. During this period, various free services including 75 cataract operations, 75 free dialysis and 75 dental checkups will be done.
