Chennai: After chairing a high level meeting with Ministers, top officials and healthcare experts, Tamilnadu Chief Minister M K Stalin today announced more relaxatons to the existing Covid-19 curbs.
According to an official release, while the lockdown has been extended till 15 November, there will be relaxations from 1 November in view of decreasing Covid cases and the upcoming Deepavali festival.
While schools will be permitted to run classes for students from 1 to 8, cinema halls will be allowed to have 100 per cent occupancy by following standard operating procedures (SOPs). Liquor bars will also be allowed to function.
The Chief Minister has requested the public to follow Covid regulations to further control the spread of the pandemic.
