New Delhi: A Supreme Court lawyer once again received a threatening call warning the Judges to refrain from hearing the Prime Minister’s security breach case.
‘Today I once again received a threatening call on the same pattern as it was earlier received but this time the caller also took the name of Retired SC judge Justice Indu Malhotra,’ Supreme Court lawyer Vishnu Jain told IANS.
Several Supreme Court lawyers said they had received threatening phone calls – allegedly from pro-Khalistan group Sikhs For Justice for the second time in seven days – over the case involving security lapses during Modi’s visit to Punjab this month.
The calls warned ‘anti-Muslim and anti-Sikh’ Supreme Court advocates they would be held ‘accountable’ after a police case was filed over last week’s messages.
‘… first we warn advocates. The issue was between PM Modi and Sikhs, but you have filed complaint against SFJ (and) put yourself in a dangerous position. Now we will hold anti-Muslim and anti-Sikh Supreme Court advocates accountable,’ the caller said.
Earlier on 12 January, based on Advocate Vishnu’s complaint, the Delhi Police had registered an FIR with regard to the threatening calls that were received by the lawyers of the Supreme Court.
