President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Coimbatore for a four-day visit to Tamil Nadu, beginning today.
The President will attend an event at the Defence Services Staff College at Wellington Ooty tomorrow. She will interact with the tribals at Nilgiris on the 29th of this month.
Security has been tightened in and around Coimbatore and Ooty in view of the President’s visit.
Due to inclement weather conditions prevailing in the hills, the President is travelling to Ooty by road.
During her visit, On November 28, Thursday, the President will address the faculty and student officers of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
On November 29, the President will interact with the members of Tribal Women Self-Help Groups and the prominent members of the Tribal Community in Nilgiris District at Raj Bhavan, Udhagamandalam.
Furthermore, On November 30, the President will grace the convocation ceremony of the Central University of Tamil Nadu at Thiruvarur before departing for Delhi from Trichy airport.
