BJP Coordination Committee leader H. Raja has raised concerns about the Tamil Nadu Police allegedly acting against Hindu sentiments. Speaking to the media in Karur, he criticized singer Isaivani for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Ayyappa devotees with her recent performance. He called for strict action against her and filmmaker Pa. Ranjith, similar to the action taken against actress Kasthuri in the past. Raja questioned the Tamil Nadu Police’s inaction, suggesting that it raises doubts about whether the force is acting in opposition to Hindu sentiments. He also addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding industrialist Gautam Adani, dismissing claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should respond to charges filed against Adani in a U.S. court, pointing out that the allegations involve officials from Tamil Nadu and three other states when the BJP was not in power in those regions. Raja further criticized the Tamil Nadu government for failing to act against anti-Hindu statements circulating on social media, warning that such inaction could lead to communal tensions. In a related update, he provided the schedule for BJP’s internal elections in Tamil Nadu, with branch-level elections to be completed by November 30, town and union office elections between December 1-15, and district-level elections by December 31. State-level elections will take place in the first week of January 2025, and the all-India BJP leadership elections are set to conclude by January 15.
