The British Council hosted an event in Chennai to conclude its Action Research Mentoring Scheme (ARMS), which ran from April 2024 to May 2025, involving Gauhati University, IITDM Kancheepuram, and NIT Warangal. The programme supported around 70 educators in conducting classroom-based research to enhance English teaching in multilingual contexts.
Professor Rama Mathew, lead mentor for ARMS, was felicitated for winning the ELTons Award 2024. The event showcased research outcomes, reaffirming the British Council’s commitment to teacher-led inquiry, multilingual education, and professional development in India.
