Tamil film actor Karthi has praised the Tamil Nadu government for placing high importance on education and supporting students during a recent public event. The event was held in connection with the state’s free laptop distribution programme for college students.Speaking at the function, Karthi said Tamil Nadu is a state that prioritises education and thanked the government for its efforts. He shared a personal story about his father advising him that “even if nothing else helps, education will always give you support.” This guidance, he said, encouraged him to complete both engineering and postgraduate degrees.
Karthi highlighted that education helps individuals understand their surroundings and equips them to face life’s challenges. He also noted the importance of the government providing laptops to students, especially in an era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly evolving and digital skills are becoming essential.
