Veteran dancer Sudharani Raghupathy will inaugurate Bharat Kalachar’s 32nd music and dance festival on 8 December at YGP Auditorium. Orator Prema Pandurang will preside over. Industrialist Nalli Kuppusamy will be the guest of honour. The festival concludes 8 January, 2019.
The sabha will honour S Rajeswari with Gnana Kala Bharathi, Nithyasree Mahadevan and Veena B Kannan (Viswa Kala Bharathi), Acharya Kala Bharathy for Srekala Bharath, Kala Seva Bharathi for Madurai Muralidharan among others.
Special commendation award will be given to D S Ramachandra Rao (Tamil theatre), Sutikshana Veeravalli (Bharathanatyam) and K Balachander Trophy for artistic excellence to Suhasini Maniratnam.
