Chennai: Heavy rains and thunderstorms have been forecast over some parts of Tamilnadu for the next couple of days.
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai has said heavy rainfall is likely to occur in parts of Tamilnadu over the next 24 hours.
RMC said parts of Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem and Namakkal will receive heavy rainfall, while parts of Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Perambalur, Cuddalore, Trichy, Kallakurichi and Dindigul are expected to receive moderate rainfall.
The RMC has forecast heavy rainfall in Nilgiris over the next 24 hours, while parts of Chennai are slated to receive light showers.
Light and moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Ranipet, Tirupathur and Salem districts of Tamilnadu. The rest of the state too could experience mild showers on Friday.
