Chennai: The office of Tamilnadu Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo yesterday received an anonymous letter threatening that a bomb would go off at the premises.
Following this, police officials inspected the place and found no suspicious item. According to a media report, the letter contained a sentence written in Tamil saying bomb will go off.
Sahoo was taking part in a meeting with district electoral officers (DEOs) and returning officers (ROs) even as the Fort police personnel inspected the premises and held investigations in connection to the letter.
