NIA arrests ISIS chief of Kerala’s Thrissur module in Chennai

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested the absconding leader of the ISIS Thrissur module from Chennai on Wednesday.  The arrested man Siyed Nabeel Ahamed is believed to be the head of the terror outfit of the Thrissur module in Kerala. He was reportedlyplanning to escape to a foreign country using fake documents via Nepal.

NIA’s Fugitive Tracking team who had been on his trail for several weeks, finally caught him red-handed as he was using forged documents.

Key criminal documents and digital devices have been seized from the third accused, Syed Nabeel, who was arrested in a case registered by Kochi’s NIA in July this year.
