On MDMK Chief Vaiko’s advise, son Durai Vaiko withdraws resignation from party post

A day after resigning from the post of Principal Secretary following reported differences with a senior leader, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) Principal Secretary Durai Vaiko, also a Lok Sabha MP from Trichy, withdrew his resignation on Sunday.
He had resigned saying a senior leader (without naming Mallai Sathya) could not digest his growth and elevation in the party. Both of them (Durai and Sathya) have buried their hatchet and promised to work for the party’s development and growth with dedication.
Top MDMK sources said that Durai Vaiko re-considered his decision in the interest of Party and withdrew his resignation on the advise of his father and MDMK Founder Vaiko, also a Rajya Sabha member.
Durai Vaiko withdrew his papers at the MDMK District Secretaries and the Administrative Council meeting held at the Party headquarters and chaired by Vaiko.
