Chennai: Led by skipper R Sonu Yadav, Tamilnadu U-19 entered the semi-finals of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy by beating Delhi by six wickets in Nagpur on Tuesday.

Asked to bat first, Delhi was bowled out for 169 in 43.5 overs thanks to some disciplined bowling by leg-spinner S Kishan Kumar who finished with an impressive haul of six for 39.

In reply, a third wicket partnership of 98 runs in 21.4 overs between S Abishiek (61 not out) and Sonu Yadav 50 (78b) took TN to a comfortable win. It will next meet Team Rajasthan in the semi-finals on 2 November.

Brief scores: Delhi 169 in 43.5 overs (Vaibhav Kandpal 53, Priyansh Arya 35, S Kishan Kumar 6/39) lost to Tamilnadu 170/4 in 33.3 overs (S Abishiek 61*, R Sonu Yadav 50)
