
Bengaluru: Congress Rajya Sabha member B K Hariprasad landed himself in a fresh controversy on Friday. He mocked the BJP president Amit Shah by saying that he was not suffering from swine flu.
Talking to reporters, the MP said that he knew people at AIIMS and that Shah was admitted there because of the flu.
‘pigfever‘ jibe. When asked about the ailment of Shah if it was not swine flu, Hariprasad said that was the report he got. To a question whether Shah was suffering from something else, he said, “I don’t know.”
On Thursday, Hariprasad had made a pig fever jibe at Amit Shah and refused to retract his comment. He received furious reaction from BJP members, who demanded that the Congress sack him and and asked him to tender a public apology.
“Whatever statement I made is there. I will talk to you later,” Hariprasad said. He also added that he spoke in Kannada as it was his mother tongue and there was nothing wrong in that.
