Chennai: Lions Club of Central Madras presented their eighth year memorial awards to various organisations and individuals at a function held here recently.
According to a press release, Lions District Governor A Gulam Hussain and Institute of Child Health & Hospital for Children Director Prof Dr A T Arasar Seeralar gave away the awards.
Lion Dr C V Ananthasayanam Memorial Award for Health and Educational services was given to Ambattur Rotary Hospital, Ambattur.
Lion Dr P Sivaraj Memorial Award for encouraging and propagating need and necessity for blood donation was given to Madras Christian College, East Tambaram, Prince Shri Venkateshwara Arts & Science College, Gowrivakkam and Swami Vivekananda Social Welfare Organisation, Chrompet.
Lion Dr V Aravintha Reddy Memorial Award for propagating awareness on diabetes and its prevention, patients care, counselling etc, was given to Kalyani Nagarajan, coordinator, Lions Community Dialysis Centre, Chennai.
Lion E S Krishnan Memorial Award for propagating need and necessity for eye donation to A Padmanathan, State general secretary, Saksham.
