Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Tamil short titled Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn starring Simbhu and Trisha was released in social media Wednesday. A reboot of the runaway romantic hit, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya (VTV), it’s a 10-mimute film shot during lockdown.
The short film is basically a telephone conversation between Karthik and Jessie. The former is dejected over lockdown and theaters shut. He calls Jessie who comes to Kerala from America. He wants her love back to excel in writing scripts. She assured him everything will be fine. She motivates him to start writing well. And the movie ends with a hope.
