New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh blamed the Chinese People’s Liberation Army for its ‘aggressive behaviour’ to unilaterally alter the status quo.

He also conveyed both India and China should continue their discussions through diplomatic and military channels to bring peace on the border.

A meeting was held between Rajnath Singh and his Chinese counterpart, General Wei Fenghe, in Moscow on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting on Friday evening.

The responsibility of current tension along the border lies ‘entirely with India’, China said hours after Rajnath Singh held a meeting with Chinese Defence Minister Gen. Wei Fenghe in Moscow.

‘Thhe cause and truth of the current tension on the border between China and India are very clear, and the responsibility lies entirely with India,’ the Chinese government said in a statement.
