Islamabad, Dec 5: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has petitioned the Islamabad High Court for permission to undergo medical tests at Shaukat Khanum Hospital within three days and requested monthly check-ups, full access for medical teams, and copies of reports for his family.Khan, imprisoned since August 2023 and facing multiple corruption and terrorism cases, claims he is being politically victimised and subjected to severe mental torture, including solitary confinement and restricted visits.
His family has confirmed his physical health is fine but noted ongoing mental stress.
Khan has also publicly criticised Army Chief Asim Munir, accusing him of undermining Pakistan’s constitution and human rights.
