Gold prices in Chennai rose sharply on Wednesday, with a sovereign (8 grams) of 22-carat gold priced at ₹74,000, marking an increase of ₹400 from Tuesday’s rate of ₹73,600. The price of one gram of gold now stands at ₹9,250.
