Chennai: In a bid to curtail the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, the Tamilnadu police have taken into custody as many as 6,91,603 persons for violating norms of curfew. The restrictions have been imposed across the State since 24 March. Police are taking to task those who are stepping out of their houses for non-essential errands. A press release from the DGP’s office said that 6,39,187 violations have been recorded by the police in various districts. As many as 5,06,352 vehicles were seized.
