Hyderabad: Posters and banners purportedly written by the banned CPI (Maoists) asking locals to boycott the coming Telangana assembly elections surfaced in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, police said.

The posters criticised the policies of the TRS government. “We believe the posters were put up by CPI (Maoists),” a senior police official said.

Police have so far seized around Rs 30 crore cash while the IT officials Rs 5 crore as part of intensified checks in view of the 7 December elections, another official said.
