Chennai: Actor-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar resigned from the Congress party today. In her resignation letter to party’s president Sonia Gandhi, Khushbu said that she was being ‘pushed and suppressed’.
Amid speculations that she might join BJP in the presence of party president J P Nadda, Khushbu left for New Delhi Sunday night.
“Few elements seated at higher level within the party, people who have no connectivity with the ground reality or public recognition are dictating terms and people like me who wanted to work for the party sincerely, are being pushed and suppressed,” her letter read.
In her resignation letter, Kushboo thanked Sonia for the opportunity given to her to serve the nation as the national spokesperson of the party.
