New Delhi: MP and NC leader Farooq Abdullah has said his resolve for the restoration of Article 370 will not change even if he is hanged.

‘We want the government of India to return to the people of the state the rights they had before August 5, 2019,’ Abdullah said.

‘At the same time, the political issue of the state has to be resolved as quickly as possible through dialogue with all the stakeholders who are involved in the problem of Jammu and Kashmir,’ he added.

‘Our resolve will never change even if I have to be hanged,’ Abdullah said after he left the Enforcement Directorate where he was questioned for seven hours about a case regarding the alleged misappropriation of funds in the JK Cricket Association (JKCA) when he headed the association.

He further said, ‘It is the problem of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. It is not Farooq abdullah’s struggle alone’. He added thatthat this is a long political battle and one that will continue. ‘Remember one thing: We have a long way to go. We have a long political battle and that battle will continue whether Farooq Abdullah is alive or dead,’ he said.
