Kolkata: BJP MP Saumitra Khan sent his wife Sujata Mondal Khan a divorce notice Tuesday, a day after she joined the Trinamool Congress.
‘A party that abolished Triple Talaq is asking my husband to divorce me,’ she lashed out.
Saumitra Khan has said he has sent her a legal notice seeking divorce. On Monday, his wife, Sujata Mondal Khan, joined the TMC in Kolkata.
‘I would request her to stop using the surname ‘Khan’. I am severing all relations with Sujata today. I am sending her a divorce notice. I also request the media to not label her as a ‘Khan’,’ Saumitra Khan said.
Speaking to news agency ANI, when asked the reason for any problem in her relationship, Mondal said,
‘When politics enters your personal lives, it becomes bad for the relationship. Saumitra is in the company of bad people from BJP who are trying to instigate him against me.’
