Hey Sinamika – (Movie Review)


Youthful fare

Popular choreographer Brinda makes her debut as filmmaker with HeySinamika. Starring Dulquer Salman, Adithi Rao and Kajal Agarwal, it is romantic entertainer that speaks about complexities in modern day relationships. The expectations and disappointments of today’s youngsters in their love life is the crux of the movie.

Produced by Bio Studios, Global One Studios and Viacom18 Studios, it has music composed by Govind Vasantha and cinematography by Preetha Jayaraman.

Yaazhan (Dulquer) and Mouna (Adithi Rao) love each other and get married. But Yaazhan, an extrovert showers relentless love and care on Mouna.

The latter feels suffocated and wants to get a break. She hatches a plan.

Tries bring in a psychologist Malarvozhi (Kajal Agarwal) betwern them. As it happens, Yaazhan develops a good bonding with her. What happens between the three forms the crux.

Dulquer shines. He is at his coolest best. His performance adds weight to.the movie. Adithi plays a complex character with consummate ease. Kajal as Malarvizhi is apt choice. Govind Vasantha’s background score and Preetha’s camera gives gloss and shine to the movie.

Though the entire drama lacks soul, it is still a watchable fare.
