
Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness Garuda Seva at Kanchipuram Sri Varadaraja Perumal temple this morning. The third day of the annual brahmotsavam today saw the processional deity of the Almighty taken out on Garuda vahanam amidst chanting of Vedic hymns.
Special arrangements were made to ensure hassle-free darshan for devotees. At around 4 am, the Almighty on Garuda vahanam began His procession from the temple amidst chanting of ‘Govinda … Govinda’ by people thronged in large numbers at the temple.
The annual brahmotsavam at the temple began on 31 May and ‘thiru ther’ procession would be held on Tuesday.
