New facility at TANKER


TANKER Foundation has inaugurated a new haemodialysis machine at Rekha memorial Renny Abraham Ambattur. A press release said,”The new dialysis machine has been donated by Shankar Narayan Swamy and Asha Swamy. They also inaugurated the machine. Shankar Narayan Swamy said that he and his family have been supporting TANKER from inception in 1993 and were very appreciative of the progress over the years and the service they were doing for the needy with kidney failure.” Latha Kumaraswami, Managing Trustee of TANKER Foundation said,”These were donors who have been with TANKER from day 1 and expressed TANKER’s gratitude for Shankar Narayan Swamy and Asha Swamy’s regular donations and generosity. She also thanked AIEMA and the Rotary Club of Ambattur and Hospital ,the CMCHIS and other valuable donors for their regular support. She said that TANKER was appealing for space in Chennai to set up a Centre of Excellence for Kidney Disease. This was most important as kidney disease was increasing all over the world.TANKER has done almost 6 lakhs dialysis and is now helping 875 patients. Awareness programmes have been done for almost 2 Lakh people and Screening Camps for 40000 people for early detection of kidney disease.”
