AIADMK leaders criticise DMK

Senior AIADMK leaders launched a scathing attack on the ruling DMK government during the party’s general council meeting held in Chennai yesterday.
Former Minister Valarmathi stated, “Chief Minister Stalin is sitting on a volcano. His government’s days are numbered. Once Palaniswami returns as Chief Minister, a Stalin Commission, similar to the Sarkaria Commission, will be set up to investigate corruption and misuse of power.”
Former Minister C.V. Shanmugam dismissed rumors of dissent within the AIADMK. “There are no differences or unrest in our party. Media reports about internal issues are merely attempts to weaken our cadre psychologically. However, DMK is well aware of our strength and capabilities. Ultimately, Stalin himself will pave the way for the AIADMK alliance’s resurgence,” he said.
Shanmugam also compared Tamil Nadu to nations like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Syria, where dynastic politics have been rejected. “The people of Tamil Nadu have awakened against family rule, and ministers are now facing public backlash,” he remarked, referring to recent incidents of protests against DMK ministers.
Former Minister Velumani criticized the DMK government for its over-reliance on propaganda. “For four years, the DMK government has been running on advertisements alone. Governance has taken a backseat,” he claimed.
The leaders expressed confidence in AIADMK’s resurgence and predicted the fall of the DMK government, asserting that public dissatisfaction is at an all-time high.
