Tamil Nadu BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan criticized the DMK government for failing to fulfill its promise of holding 100 days of Assembly sessions annually.
Speaking to the media, she expressed disappointment over the recently concluded two-day Assembly session, calling it a mere formality.
Vanathi stated, “Tamil Nadu, a leading state in growth and development, faces numerous pressing issues daily. Reducing the number of Assembly sessions is a major letdown. Instead of allowing meaningful discussions, members are asked to wrap up their points in just four minutes. This deprives legislators of the opportunity to voice people’s concerns effectively.”
She further pointed out that the DMK’s pre-election promise to conduct Assembly sessions for 100 days a year has not been honored. “The pledge has been forgotten, and their focus now is solely on opposing the Central government to sustain their political relevance,” she remarked.
Vanathi’s statements come as a critique of the DMK’s governance and its approach to addressing state issues in the Assembly.
