Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) seized about ₹2.18 crore in cash from the residence of a relative of Ambedkar Erugu, an assistant divisional engineer with the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL).The raid, conducted early Tuesday, is part of an investigation into alleged disproportionate assets held by Erugu. ACB officials also searched multiple locations, including properties linked to Erugu’s associate, Sathish. The recovered cash was reportedly concealed at Sathish’s home.
Authorities found several high-value assets in addition to cash, including a commercial-cum-residential building in Gachibowli, a flat in Kondapur, six residential plots, a 10-acre industrial property in Suryapet, agricultural land in Narkhuda, luxury vehicles worth ₹46 lakh, gold, and significant bank and demat holdings. The total value of these assets is estimated at ₹6.5 crore.
Ambedkar Erugu has been arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act and presented before a special court. The ACB continues its investigation and is analyzing digital evidence while urging the public to report corruption.
This operation highlights the ACB’s efforts to combat corruption and ensure accountability among government officials.
