Chennai, June 20:
The Tamil Nadu Tennis Association celebrated its 33rd Annual Day at the Madras Cricket Club, recognising outstanding players and contributors to the sport.
Vijay Amritraj, President of TNTA, highlighted Tamil Nadu’s success in hosting major international events like the Chennai Open WTA 250 and praised the progress of young talents such as Diya Ramesh and Rethin Pranav. J. Meghanatha Reddy emphasised government support in nurturing athletes to achieve national and international success.
A total of Rs.6.9 lakh in awards was distributed to top performers, including Manish Suresh Kumar and Diya Ramesh, while league and inter-club championships saw strong participation from leading city clubs.
The event marked TNTA’s continued efforts to promote tennis excellence and develop future champions in the state.
