Chennai,  Sept 7:
Raasi Builders has emerged as the lowest bidder for renovation and development of the proposed Chief Minister’s office at Namakkal Kavingar Maaligai in Chennai, quoting ₹3.78 crore against the Public Works Department’s estimated cost of ₹5.54 crore.
The company emerged L1 after a three-stage tender process conducted by the Tamil Nadu PWD. Its bid is around 32% below the department’s original estimate.
Four construction companies participated in the tender. Raasi Builders of Ashok Nagar emerged first, followed by Eswari Constructions of Madurai. Shri Rahavendra Builders of Anna Nagar West and M CUBE INFRA of Alwarpet were also among the bidders.
According to the project details published by LiveChennai, the proposed office is being prepared with a sea-facing view, enhanced security arrangements and modern facilities. The lower tender amount is expected to reduce the expenditure from the original PWD estimate.
The project is part of the State government’s broader plans to establish and modernise administrative facilities in Chennai.
