Chennai: The Income-Tax (IT) department today carried out a raid at a software company here.
According to sources, sleuths from the department performed searches following complaints of tax evasion by the company.
The private firm which is headquartered in Mumbai has two branch offices in the city. It also has an office in Bengaluru. I-T men carried out raids at both the offices in the city this morning.
The firm has international clients and has made it big for the several services it provides for multiple companies.
Officials are tight-lipped about the surveys conducted at the software firm today.
