Owdatham is a medical thriller, which is bankrolled and enacted by Nethaji. In a bid to promote the movie, the makers have chosen to gift 3 lakh pens with ‘Owdatham’ engraved on them to those who come to the theatre.
Nethaji, says, “I wanted to take a quirky subject for my maiden venture. I came across an article in a newspaper that a banned medicine was once again available in medical stores with the ban lifted. I was curious to know how this can happen. A series of researches led to the startling revelation in medical (drugs) industry. The film will create awareness to people while buying medicines.”
Directed by Ramani, the movie stars Sameera as heroine. The crew has plans to insist audience to sign in your mother tongue Tamil while distributing the pens.
