Coimbatore: Dr N Kumar assumed charge as the Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) here Friday.

Born in Kadukkarai village of Kanyakumari district, Kumar was dean (horticulture) of TNAU, from July 2009 to June 2013.

He has rich professional experience of 36 years in research, teaching, extension, farm management and has held various administrative posts, a press release from TNAU said.
