The 1979 Kamal Haasan blockbuster Neeya is all set to witness its sequel. A snake woman who takes revenge on the killers of her beloved, will see Jai, Catherine Tresa and Laxmi Rai playing the lead roles. Sources say Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays snake woman in the movie.
Director Suresh says, “One of the highlights of this film is a 22-ft serpent to be seen in an important role throughout the movie. To make sure that we get the exact serpent as we had imagined, cinematographer Rajavel and I had to travel across different places in India and Thailand. Finally, we happened to find the exact one in Bangkok.”
And the makers have retained the classic song Ore Jeevan from the original on Neeya 2. Plans are on for a release of the movie next month.
