Chennai: The political scene is hotting up with Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his sister and general secretary of Uttar Pradesh East, Priyanka Vadra, planning to visit Tamilnadu to address public meetings this month.
According to reports, Rahul will be visiting the State twice in February.
Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president K S Alagiri said this while speaking to a private Tamil news channel today.
Congress circles across the nation have been stating that the political elevation of Priyanka has galvanised workers at the grassroots-level of the party. Alagiri was himself made the president of the TNCC a few days back, replacing S Thirunavukkarasar to the top post.
