Warangal (Telangana): Kedari Food Court in Telangana has come up with a ‘no food waste’ policy and fines customers Rs 50 for leaving food on the plates.
The hotel that has been in the catering business for many years now cautions the customers on its display boards and has been imposing the fine for the past two years. According to reports, Rs 14,000 has been collected over the two years and the money would be donated to an orphanage.
The hotel authorities have claimed that their customers nowadays are very careful not to waste food and the number of instances of penalty has came down. Not just this, the food court was also willing to pay fine to those who find the food distasteful.
