LKG will make people think before casting votes, says RJ Balaji


Chennai: “Youngsters are not aware about who to vote for. I feel that after watching LKG, they will definitely come out and casttheir vote for right candidate,” says actor RJ Balaji.

LKG, his maiden venture as hero is ready for release on 22 February. Produced by Ishari Ganesh and directed by Prabhu, the political staie features Priya Anand, Nanjil Sampath, J K Rithhesh among others in the cast.

Says Balaji, “For the past couple of years, I stopped acting as comedian. Many advised me not to reject offers. But I invested the time to write the script for LKG. Soon after the Chennai floods, there was elections and the voter turn out was just 57 per cent. I realised one thing that youngsters are not aware about who to vote for and why. I feel that after watching LKG, they will definitely come out and cast their votes.”

Producer Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International said, “LKG is the maiden production of my home studio. I was impressed with the script and immediately decided to go for it. We saw the final copy of this film and I couldn’t stop but hug and appreciate RJ Balaji.”

On her part. actress Priya Anand said, “I am so happy to be a part of such a good team. Especially, to work with a person like RJ Balaji who has never hurt the sentiments of anyone. But he is a sensible and brilliant thinker. Moreover, I have accompanied him to many colleges and am really feeling proud of him for his talks on women empowerment. I thank producer Ishari Ganesh sir for bringing me on-board for this film.”

Music composer Leon James, cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanaa, JK Rithesh, Mayilsamy also spoke.
